How are GPU driver versions related to CUDA Runtime versions?
Each NVIDIA GPU driver comes with a supported CUDA Runtime Version. Note that this Runtime reflects capabilities of the driver itself to run CUDA applications, it is not directly connected to installed CUDA Toolkit / nvcc (if any).
The Runtime version is shown at start of nvidia-smi output, for example,
